Dr. Anup Chirayath DOMS, DNB, FRCS, (Glasgow) Completed his PG from B.J Medical college, Pune, with Gold Medal in the DOMS examination. He is also “Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons” Glasgow, U.K. He did his “Fellowship in General Ophthalmology” at Aravind Eye Hospital, TN.

He then worked as Senior Consultant at Aravind Eye Hospital,TN, for a period of 6 years in the Department of Cataract & Vitreoretina. He has many national and international Papers & publications to his credit. He has conducted CME Programmes and co-authored two textbooks in Ophthalmology. He was the invited faculty at TNOA conference, Ooty and SICS workshop at Calcutta at aegis of the West Bengal Ophthalmic Society. He has provided Consultancy services and training to the Lions Sight First Eye Hospital, Lilongwe, Malawi, Africa-Organized by the International Eye Foundation, USA in 1999. He was Invited faculty for surgical demonstration at the VI th Ophthalmological Congress of SAARC countries at Kathmandu, Nepal, 1999. He has Provided Consultancy services for planning an Eye Hospital at Kitwe, Zambia, 2001. He worked as Chief Consultant Ophthalmologist in a Super Speciality Hospital for two years in Kerala.

Presently he is Medical Director and Head of the department “Cataract & Phacoemulsification Services” of AFEH.

Dr. Jyothi Anup,MS Completed her Postgraduate training from Aravind Eye Hospital, Tamilnadu. Later she has worked as consultant in a SuperSpeciality Hospital in Malappuram District, Kerala for about 2 years.
Presently she is a Consultant - General Ophthalmology, in AFEH.

Dr.M.V.Satyajit completed his M.B.B.S from Govt. Medical College, Thrissur. He has done his D.O & M.S in Ophthalmology from Govt. Medical College, Calicut and his fellowship in Small Incision and Phaco-emulsification cataract surgery from our institute. He has presented papers at various state level conferences and is currently working as Consultant in Cataract services at our Institute.

Dr.Vinod kumar.T completed his M.B.B.S from Kasturba Medical College Manipal and his DNB in Ophthalmology from the CBM Institute of Ophthalmology,Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly.He has done fellowship training in Diabetic Retinopathy and Lasers from the Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai and later his fellowship training in SICS from Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly.He has presented papers in various state level conferences. He has been a Consultant in Cataract Services & Medical Retina at our institute for more than a year now.

He has worked as Assistant Consultant in Sankara Nethralaya, Associate Consultant in Rajan Eye Care Hospital, Chennai; Medical officer in department of Glaucoma at Aravind Eye hospital, Coimbatore. He is also a visiting faculty for MS (hospital management) in KMCH Institute of Hospital Management, Coimbatore & Saint Joseph University, and Philadelphia, USA. He was awarded Dr. S. Ramakrishnan memorial cash award for the best out going PG in DO from Sankara Nethralaya. He has many papers and presentations in his credit.

Dr. Sundaresh. K, MBBS, MS completed MBBS from Madurai Medical College, and subsequently MS (Ophthal) from Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, he later did his fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus under Dr. P. Vijayalakshmi, Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. He also has visited the dept of pediatric ophthalmogy and strabismus at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and spent time under Dr. Burton Kushner as observer.

Dr. Sundaresh worked as a consultant in general ophthalmology and subsequently in pediatric ophthalmology and squint department, Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai for 5 years. Has been involved in various training activities in pediatric ophthalmology under the ORBIS-Aravind project for pediatric ophthalmology, he has also been involved in conducting DO, MS, DNB, MRCO exams as facilitator.

Dr. Sundaresh also has attended and presented papers at state, national and international conferences including the American Academy of Ophthalmology held at New Orleans, USA. He also has publications in peer reviewed journals to his credit.
